Best and Worst Jobs

One of the best jobs I experienced that involved great human resources was retail with my mother. Every worker was treated very well, no one was being favored over a other, not even myself. Even though its small store I experienced a lot of tools to eventually put under my belt.  While you work in retail you get to experience a lot of different personalities. Also you learn to be patient while working with different customers.  Learning how to cope with co-workers is another aspect of working in retail.  If you work in a great environment, you have a great attitude about what going on that particular day.

The working conditions and the respect for your employees have a huge impact in the work force. Also if you’re not familiar with any type of resource, you could ultimately lose customers and employees. If your not treated respectable you have a rude attitude for the rest of the day, and treating customers how you’re being treated. In the absence of laws that regulate specific actions, employers have significant discretion in establishing protocols that may affect the attitudes of staff members toward the organization” (Human Resource Management, Page 14).  Rules can help show how employees are supposed to act while working there.  Dealing with horrible customers is one of the most aggravating parts. You can’t do anything but help to get what they want and when they want it. You have to just suck up and be respectful at all times to make the customer happy.  “The broad range of human characteristics and dimensions that impact the employees' values, opportunities, and perceptions of themselves and others at work”(Human Resource Management, Page 15). That’s one of the most difficult things is dealing with different types of personalities in the work force.
